Jesus said to go and make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit....The Bible teaches that after salvation the second step of obedience for a new believer in Christ is baptism.

The early Church baptized new believers very quickly after their conversion. (Acts 2:41, 8:38, 10:48, 16:15, 16:33) Baptism is a beautiful picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus but the act of baptism in and of itself has no saving power. We know that baptism is a commandment from our Savior, not a request. If you have surrendered your life to Jesus as your Savior then your next step is baptism. If you haven't followed the Lord in baptism you can call or e-mail the Evangelism Office and set up a time for a personal contact regarding baptism. 405.793.2600
