Warm Christmas – The Backpack Project

The Backpack Project

Another worthy project in which we have participated in recent years that provides a Christmas to less fortunate children in the Metro OKC area. Sponsor a backpack for $25 and it will be filled on your behalf with goodies like a warm hat, blanket, gloves and a toy. They receive their backpacks at a Christmas party just for them. For some, this is their only Christmas. The project begins today in the foyer of the Event Center Desk (with Angel Tree and Operation Christmas Child).

Angel Tree

Prison Ministry Fellowship

We have participated in this valuable ministry for several years. It provides Christmas gifts to the children of incarcerated parents. A Christmas tree with the names of specific children will be outside the Event Center Desk (west entrance to the Choir Room) for the next several Sundays.

Annual Thanksgiving Meal

Sunday, November 23, at 5:00 PM in the Atrium

A sumptous traditional Thanksgiving buffet at the low price of $6 for adults, $4 for children or a $20 maximum for families living in the same household. We will have a great time as a church family and then observe the Lord's Supper. Tickets are on sale now at the Event Desk (outside the Choir Room entrance on West side), in the Media Center and at the West Security Desk on weekdays.

Deck the Halls (and foyers and balconies, ect..)

It's that time of year when Dianna Royland needs assistance decking the halls with boughs of holly and various other adornments to make the church beautiful for the holidays. Decoration happens the week of November 17-21. Contact Dianna at 793-2636 or email at

Care Center Needs

What do peanut butter & jelly, sacks and a refrigerator have in common? Our Care Center!

Our Care Center is in need of the classic combination of PB&J. Also needed are brown paper sacks. On a larger scale, a refrigerator is needed. You may drop the PB& J and sacks at collection bins at the west entrance of the church and at the Recreation Center entrance. Do not attempt to drop the refrigerator off at these locations, because it will not fit. Instead, contact Kathy McCullough at 405-317-0738 or
