Pastor Kevin Clarkson, our host pastor, considered one of the most effective senior pastors in Oklahoma, Dr. Clarkson has exhibited relevant and caring pastoral leadership. Also, known for his strong pulpit gift, he has led First Baptist to be a healthy church and a church fellowship that reaches out to the community during times of crisis. He has an overseas ministry training pastors in theology and pastoral ministry. Special messages: There will be three personal messages from noted Christian Apologists such as Lee Strobel and others.
Each Thursday workshop speaks to the defense of the faith — apologetics. The objectives of the workshops are: 1) to identify the issues facing the Body of Christ in our nation and culture; 2) to equip Christian leaders with the robust evidences for the Christian truth-claims (why we believe what we believe; why Christianity is a factual faith); 3) to develop training church members "to love God with their heart and MIND" through apologetics; 4) to implement outreach strategies to non-Christians using apologetics-based evangelism; 5) to understand the practical theological tactics in equipping the church through preaching, teaching, and discipleship.
