Missions Month

November is Missions Month, but that doesn’t stop us from getting started early! We have prayer stations around the church to learn and pray about people worldwide.

WHAT IS PRAYER WALKING?

Prayer walking is “praying on-site with insight.” Allow what you see, hear, feel, smell, and taste

to help inform your prayers.
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as you pray.

HOW DO I PRAYER WALK?

Begin with praise and confession.
Thank God for the opportunity to partner with Him in His work by lifting up the spiritual and physical needs of the people group or community you walk through.
Confess any known sin so that you intercede with a clean heart.
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts and prayers as you go.

If you aren’t sure what prayer needs to ask for, praying Scripture is a great place to start. Pray through any verses that come to mind. Be sure to note what passages and insights the Lord brings to your mind.

Donation Opportunities for VBS

A note from our pastor..

“The single, biggest evangelistic event we have all year long for kids is Vacation Bible School. We are hoping to fill our building with boys and girls from all over our community. The focus is simple, tell them about Jesus. Through games, crafts, and Biblical teaching, we will do our best to introduce every kid who comes through the doors to Jesus Christ. We will be sharing that He alone is the "Way, Truth, and the Life." We are praying that the Gospel would be sown into precious little hearts and that many would trust in Jesus for salvation.” - Charlie Blount

WILL YOU HELP BY DONATING?

Boxes will be located throughout the building for drop-off donations. Thank you!

If you have any questions, please contact the Next Gen office at 405-793-2646 or via email at brennan.ludwig@firstmoore.com.

Next Gen Schedule Change

general web update.png

Coming up on May 16th we will be making a schedule change in our Preschool Ministry and Kids Ministry that will allow more of our families the potential to be in worship at the same time. Our current schedule has the majority of our parents of younger kids in LifeGroup at 9:30am while their kids are in Ark Worship or Kids Worship. Then, when these parents attend worship at 11:00am, their kids are in LifeGroups. We understand how valuable it is for families to be able to worship together and we also want everyone at First Moore, from the youngest to the oldest, to be involved in a LifeGroup. In order for this to happen, we will be changing when we offer Preschool/Kids LifeGroups and Ark/Kids Worship

As we discussed during the Next Gen Summer Preview on May 5th, starting on May 16th all of our Next Gen Ministry will have LifeGroups at 9:30am and then worship at 11:00am. Here is the new schedule for all of our Next Gen Ministry:

Next Gen Schedule- Beginning May 16
9:30am - Preschool LIfeGroups, Kids LifeGroups, and Students LifeGroups
11:00am - Preschool Ministry, Ark Worship, Kids Worship, and Second Worship Service

If you have any questions, please let us know.

New Interim Director of Kids Ministry

Ben and Meredith also served overseas before the pandemic hit. He is currently serving as a 4th grade teacher at Rockwood Elementary in Oklahoma City.

Ben and Charlie Gatton will be working together in April and then Charlie Gatton will step out to focus solely on preparing for multiple weeks of CrossTimbers. We are excited to have Ben with us in this new role and look forward to how God is going to use him to help strengthen our ministry to the Next Gen and their families.
